Yes that's right, let me say it agian, KNOWLEDGE! If you look up the word knowledge in the dictionary, you will see that it means acquaintance with facts, truths or principles as from study or investigation. We've all heard that old saying "you can take away everything from a person but their knowledge" and that just might be one of the truest statements of all time. Knowledge is like healthy food for your brain; the more you feed it the stronger it will become. The lack of knowledge is one of, if not the main reason, so many hope-filled entrepreneurs fail. Always learning and willing to be taught will give you a great advantage over so many others that seem to overlook this incredible asset.

• Read books/articles on many different topics. You might not care about the environment, but reading about the dangers of certain pollutions may directly or indirectly affect your business.

• Watch TV, if anything do it for the entertainment factor, it's good to know whats going on in "la, la land". Once again you never know when you might see something that can impact your business. Also pay attention to the commercials, watch the way they advertise the products.

• Join online forums dealing with a wide range of topics is a "knowledge all-you-can-eat buffet". Take at least an hour a day to read people's post and even drop a little knowledge yourself.

• Ask people questions. This is very simple but not often done, whether because of fear of embarrassment, or pure laziness. Whenever you are talking to anyone that you think knows something that you don't, ask them about it. Even if your talking to someone and you didn't understand what he/she meant, ask them what did he/she mean.
