Having a privacy policy is necessary because then you know your information will be safe. A legitimate paid survey will not be distributing your data like age, gender and address. Avoiding spam at all costs is my general rule so having a privacy is a must for me.

Contact information shows that the survey site is accessible and is not trying to hide from you. Along with a way to contact them, a paid survey site should also have good customer support.
3. Just Join Survey Sites that Actually Charge you to Join.
A good survey site will have to pay operating costs for marketing to offer the best service possible. They do thousands of dollars worth of research and have operating costs. This helps to show they have a legitimate business plan. You will have to pay a small one time membership fee to join, but this ensures that you are serious about taking the surveys and helps prevent spamming. There are free survey programs out there but I have found them all to be worthless. Of all the successful people I know making money with surveys, none of them are doing it with free survey programs. Just because its paid does not mean it is legit but it’s something to look for.
4. Make sure there is a money back guarantee.
Just in case you find what you think is a good survey site that turns out to be a flop make sure you can get your money back. If a paid survey site offers a money back guarantee it will usually state it on the website itself. I would never join a survey site that did not at least have this guarantee.
5. Look for a Well Designed Website.
By no means should this be your only requirement of a survey site, but if their website is very poorly designed than there is a good chance it is not run by a trustworthy business owner. If it is a trustworthy site it will also look that way. A true survey website will hire professional graphic web designers so the look and feel of the website is important too.
